A Simple Get Together with Malaysian Friends

A friend of mine named Nurul Nadia Mohd Roslan from Fab 3, Malaysia invited me to come over for lunch at her residence in Crown Asia last Sunday, July 4, 2010. It started out at Facebook where she wrote on her status that she is going to make Chicken Rice and some of her Malaysian colleagues commented and I also commented if I can taste her Chicken Rice since it sounds yummilicious ! Then, the following day, July 4th at around 12:30 PM I received a text message from Nadia to come to her house for lunch. Other Malaysians were invited as well. It’s good that I have not taken my lunch yet when I received the message. So, I rushed and prepare myself for the lunch invitation and passed by Red Ribbon to buy cake roll for dessert.

It was just a simple gathering of friends and simple food were served but what is important is that we enjoyed each other’s company regardless of nationality and religion. What count most is the kind of friendship that we have developed throughout the period that they stayed in the Philippines. I just hope that when they come back to Malaysia after their training the bond of friendship will always be there most specially those I have gotten close with.
