Last Sunday, July 24, 2011, I woke-up at 3:00 AM to prepare for the Rexona Run 2011 at the Mall of Asia. I only ate a  banana that morning.  They said it is good to take it when you run.  Bananas contain three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber. It gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy.

Rexona Run 2011 is the 4th leg of the RunRio Series Manila and this is my second time to join that run since I started running middle of last year.   I enjoy running as it keeps me fit and healthy but I am not a fast runner though.  To finish the run is a great accomplishment for me already.

There were also other activities during the event like some games, reverse bungee, wall climbing,  zorb maze, and free fall  adding fun and excitement.

The Re-usable Timing Card

I was among the first to experience the re-usable timing card which was given as part of the race kit. The re-usable timing card is the newest innovation from RunRio that was introduced for the first time in Rexona Run last July 24 at SM MOA.

The re-usable timing card doubles as the RunRio membership card which entitles the cardholder to a lot of perks such as access to priority registration dates for RunRio races and discounts in various partner establishments. All holders of the re-usable timing card will be prioritized for the 2nd leg of the RunRio Trilogy.

There were also other employees who participated in the Rexona Run 2011 but I was not able to see them.  There were so many participants to this race

The Water Station

I saw the water station after two kilometers.  I was really thirsty and there were a lot of people who wanted to get the drinks.  I was lucky to be given a bottle of  "Powerade", a sport drinks that helps in rehydration.  Coca-Cola should thank me for mentioning their product in my blog :)
