Expo Science 2011
Proclamation No. 169, dated April 23, 1992 declares every second week of July as National Science and Technology Week to promote the Science and Technology and to highlight its significant contributions to the national development of the country.

The National Science and Technology Week was celebrated with an exhibit entitled "Expo Science 2011" at the SM Convention Center, Mall of Asia from July 27 - 30, 2011. The Expo Science 2011 was organized by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and with the theme "Nasa Siyensiya ang Pag-asa" (The hope is in science). The event gave importance to Filipino genius and ingenuity in the field of Science and Technology that raise the hope of the nation. Government offices, business sectors and academic community participated in the exhibit.

Alex Xy, headed the ceremonial pressing of the button to signal the opening of the Expo Science 2011 during the 2011 National Science and Technology Week (NSTW)

The Expo Science 2011 is the 1st Philippine Science, Technology and Engineering Exposition underscoring the future of Science & Technology in the Philippines as well as the important contributions of Science and Technology in the country and its significance to us.
