Dinner at Seaside Paluto Restaurants & Market

Entrance to the Seaside Paluto Restaurants & Market, Macapagal Blvd., Pasay City

Me and my Malaysian friends at Seaside Paluto Restaurants & Market

Have you heard of Seaside Paluto Restaurants & Market ?

If you are craving for seafoods, this is definitely the place for you. Seaside Paluto Restaurants & Market is the home of fresh high quality seafoods. It is located in Macapagal Blvd., Pasay City near Mall of Asia. It is now a popular place and one of the favorite destination in Metro Manila. The Seafood Market offers a wide variety of locally caught fish, shrimp, crab and more. Seaside Seafood is famous for fresh shrimp, tasty crabs, fresh grouper filets, king crab, and lobsters (in-season). It is locally owned and operated family business. Fish sold in the market and served in restaurants is purchased and filleted the same day.

When you go to Seaside Paluto Restaurants & Market, you need to select and purchase the seafood that you like to eat. You can also buy fresh vegetables from the market as well. After this, you need to choose the restaurant which will do the cooking for you and charge you for their services. There are a number of food establishments at Seaside to choose from.

Posing at the Entrance of  Trinity Ihaw-Ihaw & Food House

Last Wednesday, July 28, 2010, some of my Malaysian friends from AUO-SPWR and I went to this place. There were fourteen of us and we ended up selecting Trinity Ihaw-Ihaw & Food House to do the cooking for us. The Restaurant is simple but the service personnel were very accommodating and polite. They also have a band performing during the night to entertain guests. I also manage to get a 10 % off our total cost after talking to the Restaurant owner. That was great ! We bought crabs (my favorite), shrimps, Lapu-Lapu, squids, seashells and vegetables and instructed the reception staff how we wanted them cook. They actually have a list of what can be done with each type of seafood and the cooking charge for each so it is easy.

Remembrance from the Toy Hunter

My Remembrance from Mr. Toy Hunter

Mr. Toy Hunter said goodbye today, July 23, 2010 after more than a year (1 year & 8 mos) of training in the PECVD process in preparation for our Fab 3 facility in Malaysia . It was sweet of him as a friend to send a text message before he left the airport which goes “Going home to Malaysia today. Ingat and all the best. Thanks for the friendship, training and guidance throughout the months and years at Sunpower. Keep in touch, best wishes.”

“Going home to Malaysia today. Ingat and all the best. Thanks for the friendship, training and guidance throughout the months and years at Sunpower. Keep in touch, best wishes.” ~ Toy Hunter

Mr. Toy Hunter is Abdul Hadi Abdul Jalil. He loves toys and take note the expensive collectible ones “Toys for Big Boys”. He likes to go toy hunting in Greenhills, SM Mega Mall, Festival Mall and other places in Manila where his favorite toys can be found. He is married to his toys…he, he, he (Gurau je la). His favorite is Batman & friends. He loves Batman the most. He bought a lot of toys before leaving the Philippines because he said it is cheaper here than in Malaysia. Maybe someday, he might put up a Toy Museum featuring his precious toys. He likes to go to Toy Conventions and FCBD (Free Comic Book Day). He loves comics as well. Maybe in the future, I will check out Toy conventions and FCBD and see stuff and know why a number of people go to these events. Interesting and exciting !

Abdul Hadi, the Toy Hunter loves to go to Toy Conventions

He likes Batman and Friends

He loves Batman, Batgirl and Robin.  But he loves Batman the most

The Toy Hunter also loves comic books

Last July 20, 2010, he gave me a toy bird which he got from the Toy Convention last June 19-20, 2010 since he bought so many toys and the vendor gave it to him for free. The toy bird is halfway finished when he handed it over to me. I still have to put the stickers on its body to complete it. He lost the instruction manual so I have to use my head and think. This is now a puzzle to me. He also gave me some comics ~ The Amazing Spider Man, GI Joe and Son of Marvel Reading Chronology. After reading, I plan to go to the framer to have these comics framed so it will be preserved and hang them on the wall.

My friend, Christine Marie Dolotallas-Bernardo, wife of Jerry Bernardo also from SPML, the same company where I am currently working invited me to join a Fun Run “Run 4 Life” 2010 at the Serenity Place, Westgate Center, Filinvest Corporate City, Alabang today, July 11, 2010. Christine is a close friend of mine since I was still at Cell Fab 1. Her first born baby named David is my God child. She now have three beautiful children and all boys. On her second pregnancy, she gave birth to a twin (it runs in her family).

This is my own shoes... A Sketcher :o)

It was actually her sister, Lovely who started joining this kind of events in the past and Christine and her siblings were encouraged to join as well. That’s how she started participating in the Fun Run recently. I think this is her third fun run already. Christine find it exciting and I wanted to try it also for fun and experience. Most importantly, it is for a good cause. It is for my health and I am also helping other people as well so it is a GO, GO, for me.

I participated in the 3K run with Christine. There were a number of people at the venue. People from all walks of life … young and old, locals and foreigners joined this fun run for a good cause. I did not get any medal but I am so happy that I was able to finish the 3K and help those who are in need.

The proceeds of the Run 4 Life goes to the following beneficiaries :

1. Satellite School Program (3K)

2. Patient of the Month (5K)

3. Medical Missions (10K)

What an event to start your day. I felt so tired yet I felt so good for the accomplishment I have made not only for myself but for others. Well, this is just the start ! I am running again at the Rexona Run 2010 organized by Runrio at the SM Mall of Asia on August 01, 2010. I registered already with Christine and I have my Rexona Run 2010 singlet with me. Registration period : June 28, 2010 – July 26, 2010. Go register now and join the fun !

It feels good to finish it !

I finished the 3K Run at 24 Minutes and 52 seconds.  The No. 71 runner who finished it.  Not bad for a first timer :o)
