Appreciation from the Sunpower UPP (Utilities and Power Plants) Team

A Thank you Card from Stacey Cornelius and the Sunpower UPP Business Team

The message inside the card

This week, one of the things that made my world busy in the Administration Department is the holding of the UPP Leadership Summit at SunPower Philippines Mfg. Ltd.  from March 1 - 3, 2011.  The participants came from other Sunpower worldwide entities.  The summit coincides with two other events that were happening as well at Sunpower Phils. Batangas site ~ the SPC Corporate Reviews and the Free Wheel Chair Mission plus the arrival of most of the top executives from our headquarter,  Sunpower Corporation U.S.A. for other business agendas.  Gosh ! I felt  like I was carrying the whole world with me.  Why does it have to happen all at the same time, I asked myself.  Well, what can I do except do what I have to do for the preparation of those events.

Howard Wenger, President -Utilities and Power Plants, Sunpower Corp. U.S.A.

Howard Wenger is the president of SunPower’s utilities and power plants business group responsible for driving global utilities and power plant sales, engineering, construction, and customer service, as well as component sales and international business development.

A box of Godiva Belgian Chocolates from Stacey and her team which was given to me with the card.   I love the color and packaging ! ... Yummy !!!

Godiva Chocolatier, one of the creators of the world's most elegant, hand-crafted chocolates, originated in Brussels, Belgium.  It  was founded 80 years ago when master chocolatier Joseph Draps founded a chocolate company that was named in honor of the legend of Lady Godiva. Godiva comes from the Old English word "Godgifu" meaning "God gift".

Lady Godiva

Lady Godiva was an Anglo-Saxon noblewoman of great generosity and beauty who left an indelible impression upon the people she reigned over in Coventry. Known for her lustrous hair and bountiful nature, she dedicated her life to the impoverished and stricken. According to legend, she rode naked through the streets of Coventry, in England, in order to gain a remission of the oppressive taxation imposed by her husband on his tenants.

It's interesting to know the legend behind Lady Godiva !!!
