Noordhoff Craniofacial Foundation Philippines, Inc. (NCFPI) presents “MILES for SMILES, a fun run that aims to raise public awareness that “bingot” or cleft and other craniofacial conditions are treatable and that free comprehensive care is available.

NCFPI is a non-profit organization inspired by the “love makes whole“ ideals of Dr. M. Samuel Noordhoff, a renowned American surgeon and philanthropist. Initially established in Taiwan and the US, the Noordhoff Craniofacial Foundation aims to establish comprehensive cleft care centers sustained by support from local bodies.

Last August 22, 2010, Sunday, I participated in the MILES for SMILES 5K category with Fe Imperial, Christine Marie Dolotallas-Bernardo, Christian “Hani” Dolotallas and Ivy “Lovely Dolotallas. Events are 3k, 5k, 10k and 16k for the Men’s and Women’s Open and 400-meter dash for kids ages 10 and below. Those who want to sponsor a cleft child can join the “10 for a Smile” group category with 10 participants for either the 10k or 16k (10 miles) events.

After a very tiring run, my parents and one of my friend, Fe went to Old Spaghetti House for breakfast.

A great dining experience and enjoy the  mouth-watering spaghettis, delightful dishes and heavenly desserts at the OLD SPAGHETTI HOUSE

Specialties at the Old Spaghetti House are Seafood Marinara, Gambasetti, Spaghetti Pomodoro, Fried Spaghetti Cake, Baked Rigatoni with Sausage and Eggplant, Tuna Pesto Spaghetti, Carbonara Pizza and Canneloni with Italian Sausage, Eggplant, and Cream Cheese
