Manang Paz' Birthday Cake
Have you ever thought of giving a simple birthday treat for a special member of your family for all the love, loyalty, honesty and services you have been getting throughout the years ? I am referring to housekeepers or househelpers, nannies and the like who has been working and supporting your family and making your life easier. Giving them a simple treat conveys that they are important in our lives and it is one way of telling them that we appreciate them as a person and the kind of services they have been giving us.
Just recently last August 1, 2010, we gave our housekeeper a simple birthday treat. We bought her cake, prepared pancit which signifies long life, bread, chicken and ice cream. Manang Paz was very happy and teary eyed that day and we were happy that somehow we made someone’s birthday a memorable one. It’s nice to see Manang Paz’ beautiful smile as she blows the candle like a child. Happy, Happy, 55th Birthday Manang Paz ! We love you ! You are a blessing to our family !
