This is my third run in the 3K category. I just started running last June at the “Run 4 Life” Fun Run. It was Christine Marie Dolotallas-Bernardo, one of my good friends at Sunpower who introduced me to these kind of activities. She was encouraged to participate in fun runs by her sister, Lovely and from that time onwards, she finds it enjoyable. This is I think is her 5th run and she is doing the 5K already. I, too was interested in joining the fun runs so I said “Yes”. The thrill and excitement in being able to finish the race is a great experience and it is already an accomplishment to me. Running does not only keeps you physically fit, young and healthy but also eliminate stress in your life making you happy and alive.
Florence Chen who is also from Sunpower joined the fun run in the 21K category. Wow ! That is so challenging. Keep it up Floz ! Aside from Christine Dolotallas-Bernardo who joined the 5K category, his brother Christian “Hani” Dolotallas and his wife Josephine Garcia-Dolotallas also joined the race in the same category. Her sister, Ivy Dolotallas known as “Lovely” was not able to make it due to work related issues. We missed Ivy who was supposed to run in the 10K category. She is a good runner and has won some awards in the past already.
I got the result of the Rexona Run 2010 the other day and look what I found out… Singlet No. 7194 who is me... I ranked no. 556 out of the 1,534 3K Runners. My Finishing Time is 0:25:10 and my Chip Time is 0:24:17. Wow ! I beat my Finishing Time of 0:27:52 at the “Run 4 Life” Fun Run held in Alabang. For your information, FINISHING TIME is from the Gun Start to the time you crossed the Finish Line. Results for this is used as basis for determining the top 3 finishers. CHIP TIME is when you cross the start line to the finish line.

While running we passed by this Church near Mall of Asia. This is the Archdiocesan of the Shrine of Jesus, The Way, The Truth and The Life built in 1999... An architectural beauty inside.

I was very thankful to my father and step mom for supporting me and for taking me to the venue. They had to wake up as early as 3:30 AM and my father had to drive from Sta. Rosa, Laguna to Roxas Boulevard. I am still an amateur driver and not yet confident to drive in Manila so my father had to take me to SM Mall of Asia. After the Rexona Run, I treated my parents to Yoshinoya, a Japanese food establishment and one of my favorite. It is a popular restaurant chain. The concept of Yoshinoya is fairly simple, providing customers with fast food which is tasty and healthy at the same time; healthy for your body and healthy for your financial health too! Yes, that’s right; everything on the menu will amaze you as they are very affordable and good value for money. The signature dish is Gyudon. It is a bowl of steaming rice topped with tender slices of beef and onions, simmered in a special white wine broth of over different herbs and spices. I love the beef gyudon, tempura and the miso soup ! I was so hungry after the race so I ordered a plate of gyudon with ebi tempura and two cups of miso soup. I took some photos of the restaurant with the crew. We were their first customers so the crews were not yet busy that morning and agreed to have their photos taken.
